About the Author
Nadine Spencer-Elysee
Dr. Nadine Spencer-Elysée, originally from the beautiful island of Antigua, currently resides in Harlem, New York. As the oldest of 10 children born to her parents, she has always valued family and education.
Starting her career as a preschool teacher at the Salvation Army School, she later ventured to St. Thomas and eventually settled in Harlem. Dr. Spencer-Elysée holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in libera arts, a Master of Education degree in curriculum and instruction, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree i Educational Management.
Throughout her career, she has served in different roles in education, from being an assistant teache to a dynamic principal. Apart from her professional endeavors, she has served her church in various roles. She's a dedicated wife, but her greatest role is that of mother to two amazing adult daughters.
"Through my writing, I hope to connect with others who have also struggled to find their voice, to inspire them to embrace their own stories, and to remind them that they are not alone."
